Opening of the Africa Investment and Trade Forum – Algeria

Chaired by His Excellency Mr. Ali Ahmed Jarhum, Chairman of the General Investment Authority, and his accompanying delegation, and attended by His Excellency Ambassador Ali Mohammed Al-Yazidi, Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Algeria, the General Investment Authority participated in the 11th Africa Investment and Trade Forum (AFIC11), which was held from May 10-11, 2025, at the Sheraton Hotel in Algiers, under the theme “African Integration and Prosperity.”

This important event, with broad participation from African leaders, aims to promote economic integration and build strategic partnerships in the fields of industry, energy, and infrastructure, in line with the ambitious vision of Africa’s Agenda 2063.

The forum is an exceptional platform bringing together more than 1,000 international figures, including ministers, senior investors, and heads of financial institutions. It also organizes 30 working sessions and 300 bilateral meetings to discuss investment opportunities and enhance economic cooperation.

It’s worth noting that the forum is being organized by the Arab-African Center for Investment and Development in partnership with the African Union and the African Export-Import Bank, making it one of the most important events supporting integration between African and Arab countries.
