Meeting between the Chairman of the General Investment Authority and the Center of Environmental Studies and Sciences
For his part, Mr. Katbi spoke about the importance of environmental awareness and preserving animal wealth and environmental wealth from risks. He stressed in his speech that investment is one of the main pillars that will support this aspect due to the presence of a clear direction and vision at the General Investment Authority. Mr. Ali Jarhum stressed that the Authority pays special attention to this field and considers it one of its priorities. He expressed his full readiness to provide all assistance to educate investors. The memorandum of understanding that will be submitted will also be studied and the role of investment and investors will be determined and everything that needs to be done. The meeting was held at the General Investment Authority building in the presence of a number of Authority employees and the Environment Representative at the General Investment Authority.
Mr. Ali Garhuom, Chairman of the General Investment Authority, met on Sunday, November 17, 2024, with Mr. Katbi Omar Katbi, Advisor to the Governor of Aden Governorate, Dr. Fawaz Bahmish, Head of the Center for Environmental Studies and Sciences, and Ms. Suad Abdul Jabbar Bamousa, Secretary of the Center for Environmental Studies and Sciences. The aim of the meeting is to create joint work between the two parties in an integrated manner by holding training courses and participating in events, workshops, and environmental awareness held on both sides, so that the concerned persons are trained to create new growth and construction.
During the meeting, Dr. Bahmish spoke about the role played by the Academic Center and that his center is currently seeking to include the city of Aden among the geological parks, as contracts were made during the past period with several associations and organizations, memoranda of understanding were made, and relations were established with many countries for environmental awareness, the urban aspect, and geological parks.
During the coming period, the General Investment Authority will be provided with training plans and programs and a draft memorandum of understanding clarifying the tasks and requirements of each party.
