“Development Triad” in the Participation Dialogue Platform Discusses the Impact of Small Projects on Youth Economic Empowerment
On September 25, 2024, the General Investment Authority participated in the “Participation” Dialogue Platform and the workshop under the slogan “The Importance of Small Projects for Youth and Their Impact on Economic Empowerment with the Development Triad”, which was organized with funding from the European Union and supervision of the Building Foundation for Development.
The development triad from the members of the “Participation” Dialogue Platform consisting of (the public sector, the private sector and civil society organizations) participated in the platform, where the impact of small projects on economic empowerment was discussed, and the concepts of small and entrepreneurial projects and the obstacles facing youth when heading to the labor market were reviewed.
The workshop also discussed the concept of economic empowerment and the challenges facing empowerment from the point of view of each of the three sectors and the possible and proposed solutions and treatments from the development triad to mitigate these challenges.
The workshop aimed to come up with recommendations to encourage young people to establish small projects, by taking funding from economic empowerment programs in organizations or from the private sector, which contributes to improving the economic and living conditions in the country and achieving the goals of sustainable development as one of the goals of the dialogue participation platform.
