How do your customers view your project? And what is the success rate of this project?

Our customers, especially our customers from foreign companies operating in Yemen, are satisfied with the level of quality that they did not expect to be in accordance with international standards, and customer satisfaction is always found with customers who prefer quality and a fair price.

We have many plans for marketing and promotion that include many means, whether audio or visual, and the company also participates in specialized exhibitions.

What do you advise investors who want to invest in Aden?

We advise investors who want to invest in Aden to conduct a proper study of the market and choose the required product with an understanding of the laws and they will certainly find a fast-growing market.

What are the most important provisions that organize and encourage investment other than the provisions of the Investment Law that the investor wishes to change or introduce into the investment legislative environment?

Compared to other countries, the investor still wants more and issues laws similar to other countries, especially in tax exemptions that existed before and are no longer valid according to the new amendments to the Investment Law.

What are the problems and procedures that you faced in establishing your project?

There were no problems in the known sense that we faced when establishing the project because the company has long experience in such work.

What is the nature of your project activity? What kind of services does it provide?

Nature of the company’s activity: Producing high-quality concrete using international technology and standards with the latest methods and requirements. The company also manufactures cement blocks of all kinds, especially insulated blocks, which is a new technology in Yemen. One of the advantages of these blocks is reducing electricity consumption for heating or cooling.

Where is the project site?

Our project is located in the Al-Alam Industrial Zone in addition to other sites in many governorates of the Republic of Yemen.

The project provides about (70) direct job opportunities and (150) indirect ones, in addition to contributing to the employment of workers served by the ready-mix concrete sector.

Talk about the facilities provided to you and from which party?

We were provided with facilities and services from many parties such as: the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and a number of parties, most notably the General Investment Authority, which has a major and distinguished role in providing facilities to encourage investment in Aden.

What are the difficulties that your project faced?

The difficulties that the project faced are the instability of the situation in addition to the absence of real security and non-compliance with the law and many difficulties known to everyone.

How do you view investment in Aden? And what is the possibility of the Investment Authority providing more facilities to overcome the difficulties facing investors?

Investment in Aden is a plentiful and fast-growing investment and the opportunities are great and will grow even faster when the obstacles we mentioned earlier are removed. The Authority can expand its role by granting it greater powers with various state agencies and have the necessary means to remove any obstacles.

What are the procedures required to improve investment services and environment and protect investors’ rights?

There are many procedures to improve investment services as follows:

  • Activating the role of the law, especially commercial law.
  • The existence of a safe environment for the investor in all aspects of work.
  • Quick response to investor complaints.
  • The necessity of having fair standards for evaluating companies.
What are your future plans (developing/expanding your project, starting new projects)?

The company’s plans for the future are to expand into new products, especially (insulated blocks) and increase sales of ready-mix concrete.

Why did you choose to invest in this specific field?

We chose to invest in the ready-mix concrete field because it is a field related to our core business, which is general contracting, and thank God the company is considered the best company in Yemen in the general contracting and concrete products sector.
