Honoring Ceremony for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Aden on the 138th Anniversary of Establishment
On the occasion of the (138) anniversary of the establishment of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the General Investment Authority participated in the honoring speech ceremony for the men who contributed to serving the Chamber and maintaining its high status.
The ceremony was opened by Brother/ Mohammed Mohammed Al-Ashwal – Minister of Industry and Trade, who explained during his speech the oldest civilized history of the city of Aden and the role of the port of Aden and strategic investment projects and civilized industries and the importance of the role played by the Chamber of Industry and Trade during 138 in supporting traders and commercial movement and fruitful economic recovery in all areas that help the growth of the economy and the advancement of the role of the private sector and achieving comprehensive development in all areas.
Professor/ A. Abu Bakr Salem Ba’abeed – Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry also spoke about the role of the Chamber of Commerce as one of the oldest chambers in the Middle East countries that works to organize and care for commercial and industrial interests and develop them and represent them to all parties on the interests of its members. He also indicated that the Aden Chamber was established in 1886 by five members of different nationalities under one goal, which is to develop the economy of the city of Aden.
Brother Fahd Al-Tamimi from the Chamber of Commerce indicated that the Chamber is about to launch an electronic website with the support of the Chamber officials for digital transformation and the cancellation of paper transactions and access to services in the fastest time and the shortest period of time and the work of this network will be around the clock.
During the ceremony, those who contributed to the chamber’s service were honored with shields of appreciation.
The ceremony was held in the Aden Mall Hall on Monday, August 26, 2024.
