The Seventh Egypt International Energy Conference and Exhibition EGYPS 2024

The General Investment Authority attended the Seventh Egypt International Energy Conference and Exhibition “EGYPS 2024”, which was held from February 19-21, 2024 in the Arab Republic of Egypt, under the slogan “Stimulating energy, securing supplies, energy transformation, and reducing emissions.”

The conference and exhibition were opened by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and a number of ministers from various participating countries, secretaries of the Regional and International Energy Organization, and CEOs of international energy companies. The conference focused on the topic of advancing the energy transition, securing supply, removing carbon, and achieving progress in the field of energy, sustainable development, innovations, and the development of green and renewable energies, especially green hydrogen, and the challenges and solutions to achieve this.

During the exhibition, many lectures were held in the field of renewable energy (solar energy, wind energy, water energy, etc.) Exploiting natural gas and delivering it to homes, how to convert cars to run on compressed natural gas, and producing green petrochemicals. Rice straw has been exploited to produce compressed wood panels. It is noteworthy that there is interest in training young people on leadership, creativity, and establishing small projects.
