Activities of Water and Environment Week

The General Investment Authority participated in the launch of the celebration of the Water and Environment Week under the slogan “Be the change you want in the world”, which was held for the period from March 12-16, 2023, coinciding with the World Water Day, March 22.

The ceremony was inaugurated by the Minister of Water and Environment, Eng. Tawfiq Abdul Wahed Al Sharjabi, Brother Muhammad Nasr Shazly – Undersecretary of Aden Governorate, Brother Salem Salman Al Wali – Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade and Brother Ahmed Al Zamki – Undersecretary of Agriculture for Irrigation Affairs.

A symposium was also held on water issues and the importance of preserving it in building dams and benefiting from rainwater from groundwater reserves.

For his part, the Minister of Water and Environment stressed the intensification of efforts made by the Water and Sanitation Corporation to provide water permanently and continuously, despite the water scarcity in Aden due to the increasing population.

The event was held in the hall of the General Authority for Environmental Protection – Aden.
