Preserving the Historical and Natural Heritage of the Aden City

The General Authority for Investment participated in the inauguration of the scientific symposium for complete studies of the defensive fortification complex of the historic Sirah Castle and its surroundings, under the auspices of the Minister of State, Governor of A. Ahmed Hamid Lamlas and Director General of the Directorate of Seera d. Mahmoud Najeeb bin Jaradi, and one of the most important topics raised at the symposium table was speeding up to stop the deteriorating situation of those monuments (Sira Castle) and preserving the heritage character of those monuments.

The initiative was carried out in cooperation between the local authority and civil society organizations, and was funded by the local authority, Sirah district, and the office of the governor of Aden governorate.

The symposium was attended by a. Abu Bakr Babeed, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Aden, and the advisory team consisting of (geological consultant Maarouf Oqba, construction consultant Dr. M. Thabet Salem Al-Azab, architectural consultant M. Hammoud Thabet Raweh) and a group of participants.

The symposium was held in the local authority building, Sirah district,

on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.
