The registered investment projects included the service and industrial sectors, and are distributed in three areas in the Tuban Directorate, which will provide 273 job opportunities for the governorate’s residents.
Mr. Alaa Ibrahim Ali, Acting Director of the Authority in Lahj Governorate, stressed the need to move forward towards enhancing efforts and intensifying work to attract new investments that contribute to serving development and supporting the national economy, pointing out that the Authority has a modern promotional plan that aims to highlight the unique advantages and components of investment opportunities in the governorate and will be implemented during the second half of this year through the launch of the Authority’s website.
Lahej Investment Authority achieves the highest investment cost for registered projects during the first half of 2022
The first half of the current year 2022 witnessed the registration of a number of large and important investment projects in Lahej Governorate, despite the unprecedented repercussions of the war that Yemen has been witnessing for eight years on the national economy, the investment environment, and concerns related to the security situation.
The report issued by the General Investment Authority branch in Lahj Governorate for the first half of the current year 2022 AD indicated that the highest investment cost ever was recorded for registered projects during the first half of the current year since the branch opened, as it amounted to 56 billion Yemeni riyals, a noticeable increase of 77% compared to the same period last year 2021 AD, which amounted to 13 billion Yemeni riyals. The report also confirmed an increase in the value of fixed assets for registered projects by 85% compared to the same period last year.
