The Director General of the General Investment Authority – Aden, Mr. Ali Ahmed Jarhum, also stated that the Qana Resort project is one of the most important tourism and investment projects in Shabwa Governorate and Yemen as a whole, due to its distinguished geographical location on the shores of the historical Bir Ali area. He called on businessmen to exploit investment opportunities in Shabwa Governorate.
He pointed out that these are multiple and diverse opportunities, stressing that the General Investment Authority and the local authority in the governorate will provide them with all forms of support, care and facilities to implement their investment projects.
At the end of the ceremony, all the parties and personalities who contributed to the success of the first phase of the project were honored.
Opening of Qena Tourist Resort Project in Shabwa Governorate
The opening of the first phase of the Qana Tourist Resort project in Bir Ali area in Radhum District – Shabwa Governorate, which is one of the projects licensed by the General Investment Authority – Aden on an area of 250 thousand square meters and at a cost of three million and five hundred thousand dollars. The project was opened by the Deputy Governor of Shabwa Ali Al-Kindi in the presence of the Deputy Governors Salem Baawadah, Nasser Al-Qamishi, Salem Al-Nasi, and Salem Al-Babakri and the Director General of the General Investment Authority – Aden, Mr. Ali Ahmed Jarhum, and under the patronage of the Governor of Shabwa Governorate, Sheikh Awad Ibn Al-Wazir. The components of the first phase of the project were designed and implemented with the highest tourism specifications and consist of twelve hotel buildings including thirty-two tourist chalets, twelve beach villas, an internal road network, green spaces and children’s games, shopping malls, boats for sea trips, a horse and camel riding field, and football fields.
The project manager, Sheikh Ahmed Hadi Al-Qamishi, expressed his pride and happiness in completing this huge tourism project despite the difficult circumstances and conditions of the country, and stressed his determination to implement the second and third phases of the project.
