The Executive Office of the Capital Aden stands before the progress of service and development work and confirms that 2025 is a year to support education and teachers
The General Investment Authority participated in the executive meeting chaired by Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas – Minister of State – Governor of the Capital Aden, where he reviewed during the meeting, which was attended by Mr. Badr Moa’oun – Secretary-General of the Local Council and Major General Mutahhar Al-Shaibi – Director of Aden Security and a number of the governorate’s agents and directors of executive offices and directorates, the progress of service and development work in the sectors of education, health, social affairs, statistics and planning.
During the meeting, Lamlas stressed that the decision to increase 30 thousand riyals for teachers in the governorate came from the moral and national responsibility of the local authority towards this segment that lives in difficult circumstances as a result of the deterioration of the economic situation, high prices and low salaries, in addition to the delay in restructuring wages and addressing their legal issues. He also stressed the need for education and teachers to receive greater and broader attention and support in the investment program for the year 2025, stressing that the local authority in the capital Aden will undertake to deliver two additional months’ salary to contractors.
Lamlas noted that construction projects must be in line with the requirements of the education sector and in coordination with it, with the necessity of providing educational and administrative staff and educational means. A number of issues and problems facing the local authority were also discussed, including interventions and violations of the tasks of executive offices, where emphasis was placed on adherence to the system and law and the commitment of each party to perform its duties and responsibilities to serve the local community and not to exercise any party tasks other than its tasks. The meeting touched on issues of developing and enhancing technical education and ways to benefit from the capabilities and energies of youth and mechanisms for providing data and information on a regular basis to the Statistics Office and following up on procedures related to tenders and auctions in accordance with the system and law.
