Standards and Metrology Authority and General Investment Authority meeting to discuss aspects of joint technical work

On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, a meeting was held at the headquarters of the General Authority for Standards and Metrology in the interim capital, Aden, which included Eng. Hadid Al-Mas, Chairman of the Yemeni Authority for Standards, Metrology and Quality Control, and Mr. Ali Ahmed Gurhoom, Chairman of the General Authority for Investment, and a number of directors and employees of the departments of the two authorities. During the meeting, coordination mechanisms for joint technical work between the two authorities were discussed to evaluate the conformity of investment projects in the field of industrial facilities as well as the final product to the approved standard specifications, due to its importance in encouraging investment, supporting the national economy, and ensuring that the final national products and the facilities that produce them conform to the requirements and requirements of the approved standard specifications, health conditions, and good manufacturing practices, which contributes to raising the competitiveness of national products and exporting them to foreign markets. This meeting was held as a result of the two authorities’ awareness of the importance of technical cooperation, which has a positive impact on the service of encouraging investment and facilitating the flow of raw materials for facilities, and benefits the citizen by producing products that conform to standard specifications and are manufactured according to good practices and health requirements that comply with standard specifications and technical regulations.
