Success story of a fish preparation and freezing project
The fish preparation, freezing and preservation project is one of the most prominent successful projects in the fishery field and is licensed by the General Investment Authority – Aden. The project was established at an investment cost of approximately 250 million Yemeni riyals upon opening, with a production capacity estimated at 5,000 tons. The nature of the project activity is to freeze and prepare marine products for the purpose of prolonging the quality of the product. And benefit from it for as long as possible.
The project for preparing, freezing and preserving fish is located in the industrial zone – Mansoura District. The project provides direct employment opportunities (basic) for between 50-100 workers, and there are daily wage workers during the fish harvest seasons.
Despite the difficulties that faced the project due to the instability of the security situation, the investor was able to overcome them and continue to achieve more success by establishing an ice production factory. The tomato factory project is currently being completed and the central refrigerator project has been opened with a capacity of (120 tons) of freezing and (3600 tons) of storage
