The 35th International Agricultural Exhibition (Sahara)
The General Authority for Investment visited the 35th International Agricultural Exhibition (Sahara), held in Cairo – the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, during the period from September 10-12, 2023. 225 participants from 22 Arab and foreign countries participated in the exhibition, presenting their latest products and various services in this field.
The exhibition received more than 17,000 visitors from 55 countries and is considered the most comprehensive platform for the agricultural sector locally and regionally. It covers various aspects of fertilizers and crop protection, seeds, seedlings, greenhouses, water resources management, agricultural mechanization, sustainable agriculture, and even the post-harvest sector and its accompanying services. The latest innovations, including the rain-fed irrigation method (during the past period, a contract was signed with the FAO in Aden to begin implementing this advanced system, which provides a complete irrigation system powered by solar energy, diesel generators, or petroleum).
Many different Chinese companies participated in the exhibition, as well as a large number of German companies that contributed to organizing and attending the exhibition. We also hope that they will play the same role in our country through the return of the activity of the German GIZ organization with the Investment Authority, which will result in many activities and support in the field of investment and development.
