Project aim:

It is an integrative project that fulfills the transport needs between Aden and the other governorates and connected to the borders of Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The railway will connect the country and the neighboring counties and will be an addition to the air and maritime transports for both passengers and goods in the region. It is expected that the project contributes to a large extent in the economic growth, development and prosperity in the region and diversification in transport means and it will reduce the transport cost. It will also to enhance and facilitate the regional trade and support the national industries, and to creating jobs, and building institutional abilities and skills required for sustainable development in railway.
